After nearly 15 years working across industries in companies of all shapes, sizes, and stages, I’ve witnessed the profound impact that strategic, purpose-driven communications can have on an organization. When overlooked, even the strongest organizations can lose their way. Despite this clear value, building such a program is rarely prioritized in startups, where resources are often stretched thin. This is why I was inspired to launch Kirtley Communications.
Kirtley Communications is a consultancy dedicated to helping founders and startups lay a foundation for a brand that grows and adapts alongside them. The mission is to equip clients with a comprehensive communications program that supports both immediate and long-term goals, empowering them to navigate the demands of scaling confidently while staying true to their vision and values.
Having led lean comms, content, leadership, and marketing teams – sometimes even teams of one – I understand the appeal of jumping straight into PR for quick exposure and “free advertising.” However, this approach often results in high activity and low impact.
